Sectional Pinewood Derby

Please remember the race this Saturday, registration beginning at 1:00 pm at Bethel A/G in Littlestown, PA. Race will start at 2:00 pm.  Would Commanders please follow this link, print it out and bring one sheet along, filled out for each participant in your Outpost.

  RANGER KIDS “WINTER DAY”

                        SCS Ranger Kids Day will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Waynesboro at Calvary Assembly of God Church located at 116 Snider Ave, Waynesboro, PA.

         Registration will start at 9:30.  Events will begin at 10:00, and the time of dismissal will be 2:30.  Cost will be $10.00,  For parents and leaders who attended Winter Day on Feb. 24, registration will be $4.00, this will not include a patch. 

          Please register by Thursday, March 13, 2008 with your number of leaders and boys to insure that we have enough Pizza for everyone.  See the South Central Web home page, click on "Events" for online registration, email your registration to ggpentz@pa.net , or call in your registration at (717)-762-3987

           Lunch (…PIZZA!) will be provided.  Boys should wear play clothing.  This will be a fun day of games, bible quiz, prizes, a craft,  and devotions.

·  Interstate 81 to Greencastle/Waynesboro Exit, RT# 16,

·  RT# 16 east into Waynesboro

·     Turn right on Potomac St. - Church is on the right-hand side at Snider Ave.

Dear Pastor/Commander,  

    Greetings from South Central Section of the Royal Rangers!

  On February 23, 2008, we will hold our 29^th DIS/ADV/EXP Winter Day with events beginning at 9:30am and ending at 3:30pm.  It will be held at Christian Life A/G Church (see directions below).  Registration will begin at 9:00am.  Lunch is provided!  Events that day will include Bible/IQ, group activities and competitions such as toolcraft, fire building, BB-gun, and archery. 

  Cost per ranger will be $10.00 pre-registered by February 16^th  (contact Mark Patterson at 717 267-1997 or by email at mapapatterson@comcast.net  or click on "Events" on home page for an electronic registration form.  After February 16^th , registration will cost $12.00.  Cost includes lunch, winning prizes and trophies, insurance, and patch.  A non-Royal Ranger (parent/guardian) may attend at a cost of $4.00, which covers insurance and lunch.  As a reminder, Commanders please have on hand emergency medical forms and permission slips for each Ranger.

  Other News:

The Annual Outpost Award form is available on South Central Section‘s web site.  The form is due at the next roundtable scheduled for February 4^th .    

  As always, you are invited to the February 4^th roundtable.  Our roundtables are held at New

 Franklin Assembly of God starting at 7:00pm. 

  From Paul Shaeffer, our Sectional Training Coordinator: LTA training modules continue to be offered at Orchard Springs Fellowship (Aspers, PA) on the last Monday evening of each month.   On February 25th from 7 pm until about 9:30 pm, part 2 of Outstanding Outposts will be taught.   The cost of the course will be $6.00.  Module training will also be held on Monday, March 31^st and Monday, April 28^th. 

  Upcoming events: SC Ranger Kids Winter Day March 15^th  SC Pinewood Derby Day, April 15^th, Ranger Kids Day May 31^st.

 Directions to Christian Life A/G:

Christian Life is easy to find on the West end of Chambersburg on Route 995 (Warm Spring Rd). From I-81 Chambersburg Exit 16 (Lincoln Way, Rt. 30) -- travel west on Rt. 30 into Chambersburg. Continue west past Chambersburg's historic fountain on the square for approximately 2 miles to the intersection of Route 30 and Route 995. Turn left on Route 995 (Warm Spring Rd). Christian Life Assembly of God is located about 3 miles on the left.
